Deer Hunting

Late season cabin migration mule deer hunt:
We hunt units 128-9 for late season trophy mule deer. This hunt is from our cabin in Dubois Wyoming. We have hunted this country for over 50 years. We have a wide variety of acreage we can hunt on this hunt. We generally hunt for bucks from 175 to 200+ on this hunt. We hunt this hunt from 4x4's, foot, and horses. We may use an occasional 4-wheeler or snowmobile on this hunt. I would consider this hunt as moderate for difficulty of terrain. This hunt as well is a good one for commissioner tag hunters.

General seson mule deer:
We hunt general mule deer from our basecamp in North Crandall as well as a lodge from the highway. 2007 is the last year for the October 15th to November 5th season. In 2008 the season will run from October 1st through the end of October with a Late Season trophy hunt in November. For the hunter willing to work for a deer there are some great trophies in these areas. We also offer Mule Deer/Elk combination hunts for seasons that overlap.

New for 2008 We have recently leased 3 ranches in the Buffalo and Sheridan areas. There is over 82,000 acres of exclusive deeded private ground. This land is home to great herds of Mule Deer, Whitetails, and Pronghorns. Much of these ranchlands have not been hunted for the past 5 years, and one ranch has not been hunted in 8 years. These seasons primarily run September Archery, October rifle and November Whitetails. We have a lot of opportunity on these hunts so give us a call. This has become our most productive deer hunt. We have gone 100% in 2008 and 2009 on Mule Deer averaging 165 with the largest being 188 so far. Combined with antelope this really makes for a great hunt.
