| | Archery Elk:
We hunt archery elk out of our basecamp in the month of September. Over the past 20years we have guided several archers to trophy bull elk. The gene pool in this area is host to some of the best freeranging elk in North America. We have had several bulls entered into the pope and young record books over the years. Obtaining an archery tag is nearly 100% in this area if hunters are willing to wait until the second draw in July. We also get archery hunters from the original draw in January. I handpick all of our archery guides and do much of this guiding myself. Our guides are great callers and experienced archers as well. We can do what it takes to get you that trophy bull you've been dreaming of.
| Rifle Elk:
New for 2010 all of our areas have been turned into limited quota areas. It is very important that you contact us before applying. Our main rifle season runs from October 1st through the 31st. We divide this into 7 day hunts. Each hunt consists of a day ride into camp, 5 days of hunting, and a day ride out. We hunt primarily for 6-point or better bulls with our average running about 320 gross b&c. In 2005 we killed our alltime best bull an 8x8 nontypical which grossed 423 and netted 402 6/8 official b-c. | Late Season trophy Rifle Elk:
Our late season migration hunts are in November.We hunt units 50,51,52,53and54. We have the option of hunting you from our basecamp on North Crandall or from the lodge at the trailhead. This allows us to track the migration much better than some outfitters that do not have the option of camping in the area. These late season tags are very hard to draw, but we also take clients that buy Governor's or Commissioners tags. We primarily hunt for 340 and up bulls on the late season. Our alltime best late season bull was in 2005 a 7x7 that grossed 388 and netted 3813/8 official b&c. In 2009 I drew an area 54 tag and harvested a bull that grossed 370.
